On February 14, 2004, a quartet of four businesswomen launched an e-publishing company dedicated to recreating the era of yesteryear in romance.

Charleston, SC (PRWEB) February 16, 2004 --Vintage Romance Publishing welcomes fans of old-fashioned romance. We cater to a variety of nostalgic romances set in the early twentieth century to mid-twentieth century only. We're eager to return to a time when romance was just that . . . romance. Here you will find memories, maybe not your memories, but those you've read about or watched in old movies.

Vintage Romance Publishing, LLC, is not your ordinary publisher. While we will publish exceptional romances set in the early to mid-twentieth centuries, we will not publish just another romance novel which happens to be set in those time periods. When you sit down to read a novel published by our company, we want you to feel as if you've been yanked back into the scene. If you're reading a 1920s novel, we want you to see the Shebas and Sheiks staring across a room at one another, their hearts anticipating the whoopee to come. We want you to feel as if you're seated inside the Model T as it rolls down the busy streets of Chicago and feel the excitement in the air as the speakeasies began yet another night of thumbing their noses at Prohibition. We want romance to come alive and the night to sparkle with anticipation.

While our company will be devoted to publishing books which are destined to become classics, we believe in giving back to the community which is why we've partnered with My Sister's House, a non-profit agency dedicated to providing safe shelter for battered and abused women and children. Vintage Romance will devote a portion of the sales of our books to help the shelter provide care and education for its residents.
