About the Series
The SCV chapter of IEEE/LEOS is proud to announce its 2004 monthly lecture series. Lecture topics represent important optical technologies that are shaping the world today, with this season emphasizing defense and biomedical topics. Along with monthly lecture meetings, the chapter has other fun and interesting events planned for 2004. "We have expanded our activities to include, field trips, picnics, and a family Christmas lecture, modeled after the legendary Faraday lectures in the UK." said Chris Simoneaux, Chairman of the SCV IEEE/LEOS. "These events are extremely popular. I urge everyone to attend our meetings, subscribe to our newsletter, and visit our web site periodically for registration updates." All LEOS events are open to the public; some events require pre-registration.
