"We The People" Must Demand Real and Swift Justice!
I watched Carlee being led away by Smith. I knew in my heart she was dead and raped. I knew they would not "get the truth" out of that scum. How many more children - how many?
(PRWEB) February 18, 2004 --Are we so conditioned by other forms of the taking of innocent lives that we just cringe when rape and murder happens and then go about our business? I am writing this article in remembrance of all the innocent victims of rape and murder. If you are the "sensitive type" don't read this...
Statistics from various sources with my commentary.
The National Violence Against Women (NVAW) survey, co-sponsored by the Justice and Health and Human Services Departments, finds that 302,100 women and 92,700 men are raped every year. Because the study also finds that the average female rape victim is raped 2.9 times a year and the average male victim 1.2 times a year, the NVAW calculates a total of 876,100 rapes against women and 111,300 male rapes per year.
A new survey shows more rapes per year of both women and men than ever before reported. When the following information is considered, there are many more rapes and murders than in any statistical report known to man.
Folks, there are only 365 days in a year! There is one rape and/or murder every 2 seconds. And, it's getting worse! How many of these were in your neighborhood? Were you or a loved one a victim? Will you be tomorrow while washing your car or shopping or doing dishes in your home, riding in your car, or at work.
The Bureau of Justice Statistics, when they figure rapes, only count rapes of females over 12, the rape of females under 12 and the rape of any male is not counted. Sex is a prevalent force in our society. We allow it on our TV, in movie theatres, videos, and music? (MTV), Hollywood and these days it is taught in our schools, sporting events have their near nude girls prancing around and you'll find sex anywhere else money is to be made.
The Inmate Factor:
In 1991 alone, 156,000 paroled inmates were returned to state prisons for offenses committed after their early releases. In the year after their paroles, they committed at least 6,800 murders, 5,500 rapes, 8,800 assaults and 22,500 robberies. If I had my way 12,700 of those wouldn't be around to do it again.
If a felon commits kidnapping, rape and murder in one incident only the murder is counted, the other two violent crimes are flushed down the toilet, as if they never happened.
If your daughter, wife or mother is kidnapped, beaten, raped, stabbed, strangled, and stuffed into the trunk of her car where she is left to cook to death as happened to Deborah Groseclose in Memphis, in the 100 degree plus heat of July 1977, only her actual murder will be counted by the FBI and local government.
Studies have shown that states and counties that adopt fewer restrictions on concealed handgun laws experience changes in crime rates. These studies show that violent crime rates decrease while rates of crime against personal property increase.
Is there any question as to which you would rather experience? Yet, America is so liberal in their thinking that protecting yourself with a gun is as bad as smoking, drilling for oil, hunting or chopping down a tree. We are such a bunch of soft-bellied enablers.
Am I the only one who thinks it's thoroughly ridiculous to house and care for violent child rapists/killers? More than ever, 'The inmates are running the asylum.' It costs $12,500 to $44,000.00 per year to house each one of these rapists. We (that's you, me and everyone else we know who pays state taxes) are paying more than 300 Million Dollars per year solely because our system of justice dispenses very little, if any, actual justice. Lots of "law" but way too little justice.
Any amount of money to house one scum of the earth, who when released, returns to his free room and board, medical, dental, food, sex, drugs, lawyers and no real justice, is too much. Most have it BETTER in prison than they did on the streets. Think about it. Where do these animals live? Even if they live in a mansion, they really LIVE in their own lustful minds. Is one living next door to you or in your house?
The United States has the world's highest rape rate of the countries that publish such statistics. It's 4 times higher than Germany, 13 times higher than England, and 20 times higher than Japan. Only 16% of rapes and sexual assaults are reported to the police (Rape in America: A Report to the Nation. 1992)
The rate of false reports of rape is approximately 2 - 3%, which is no different than that for other crimes. One of every four rapes takes place in a public area or in a parking garage. About 81% of rape victims are white; 18% are black; 1% is of other races. (Violence against Women, Bureau of Justice Statistics, U.S. Dept. of Justice.)
The Victim:
1 out of every 3 American women will be sexually assaulted in her lifetime.
1 in 7 women will be raped by her husband.
83% of rape cases are ages 24 or under.
1 in 4 college women have either been raped or suffered attempted rape.
18% of women who reported being raped before age 18 said they were also raped after age 18. (Violence Against Women Survey, 1998)
75% of female rape victims require medical care after the attack.
1 out of 5 victims of sexual assault is male
2 out of 5 victims of child sexual abuse are male
Most male rape victims are heterosexual
Approximately 68% of rape victims knew their assailant. [Violence against Women. Bureau of Justice Statistics, UP.S. Dept. of Justice, 1994
Approximately 28% of victims are raped by husbands or boyfriends. 35% by acquaintances, and 5% by other relatives. [Violence against Women. Bureau of Justice Statistics, U.S. Dept. of Justice, 1994
Perpetrator:
6 out of 10 sexual assaults occur in the home of the victim or the home of a friend, neighbor or relative. (Greenfeld, 1997)
At least 45% of rapists were under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Most perpetrators of male rape are heterosexual.
71% of the rapists were under the influence of drugs (inc. alcohol).
15% reported taking drugs less than 15 minutes prior to the rape.
21% premeditated the rape. 27% committed the rape while committing another crime.
16% were impulsive/spontaneous, "the victim was simply an easy available 'innocent bystander'".
7% were committed after an argument with the victim - 6% after sexual foreplay with the victim.
89% of the rapists described the victims as not being provocative, "The victims did not verbally provoke nor were sexually attractive to the attacker."
Impact:
Overall, rape has the highest annual victim cost of any crime. The annual victim costs are $127 billion (excluding child sex abuse cases). This is followed by assault at $93 billion per year. Murder (excluding arson and drunk driving) at $61 billion and child abuse at $56 billion per year (Miller, 1996). Why aren't our politicians talking about how to stop THIS tragedy? One year - $127 billion! Why aren't "WE the people" outraged? Why is no special interest group fighting this crime?
Less than half of those arrested for rape are convicted, 54% of all rape prosecutions end in either dismissal or acquittal. The conviction rate for those arrested for murder is 69% and all other felons is 54%. (The Response to Rape: Detours on the Road to Equal Justice)
21% of convicted rapists are never sentenced to jail or prison time, and 24% receive time in local jail, which means that they spend an average of less than 11 months behind bars (The Response to Rape: Detours on the Road to Equal Justice).
Ok, those are the recorded statistics you can find on the Internet anytime. Here are my findings:
Men have been raping and killing woman and children forever. The more people, the worse it gets and it's getting worse every year. If you need to ask why, you are either an idiot or you live in a bubble. To put it mildly, our justice system stinks! The following are some of the reasons men rape and/or murder:
1. No death penalty for every rapist-killer found guilty for the first offense. Many get out and do it over and over. The death penalty would stop that disgusting recidivism statistic.
2. The screwed up justice system keeps letting first offenders out of prison. If they would stop filling the federal prisons with pot smokers they would have room for rapists/murders.
3. Lawyers plead their rapist/murderer client not guilty knowing full well they are guilty. Hey, they need the time on the job. It's all about money and winning that trail.
4. Judges feel these scumbags can be saved and give them light sentences. Especially those activist judges with a political bent and owed favors. They should be benched!
5. Hollywood glorifies sex, drugs and violence in movies and in real life.
6. Hollywood types, sports idols and the rich buy their way out of trouble an the media dwells on it way too much making them a more famous.
7. Prostitution is not stopped on our streets and in our parks. The continuing revolving door makes tons of money in fines and keeps the cops busy.
8. Sexual fantasy and/or lust is rampant in movies, Internet, videos, girly joints, TV, books and most recently, the Super Bowl.
9. Women fear a man they know is raping their children and enable the heinous acts.
10. The borders are left wide open for the good and bad alike to come to America for any purpose.
There are many other reasons. Each rapist has his own reason. It makes no difference what the reason is - their reason should die with them by lethal injection - within one month of conviction of the crime. It shouldn't take any longer than one month to find him/her/it guilty. Not these days, with DNA.
Lawyers are the reason so many get away with rape and murder and why so many get out of prison to kill and rape again. It makes one wonder just who the enemy of society really is - or if one is a thinking person, they know the justice system is guilty of protecting the rapist/killer to assure that he gets his rights and since the victim is dead no one can protect them any longer.
The rapist just wants to live to do it again and the lawyer wants the reputation, power and money for "getting him off." The whole legal system is in bed with each other and there are too darn many lawyers in America.
We keep building prisons. We keep letting prisoners out. We keep bowing to the bleeding heart; do-gooders (you know who they are) and things get worse. They say capital punishment is not a deterrent. Oh really. Not only does it stop the rapist/killer form recidivism, if the execution was done within one month of being found guilty and it was televised, as is all other filth on TV, don't tell me it wouldn't slow down to a few nuts.
I don't like killing anyone - before they are born or after however, rapist/murderers must be stopped and there is only one way to do that. think of what their victims went through and for what? You get the picture.
So, why doesn't quick justice happen? Because there is way too much money in crime! Our daughters, mothers, sisters and friends are expendable; the rapist/killer's life is not. Anyone who agrees with that concept is in bed with the justice system and other moneymaking fools.
I'm too hard and cruel, you say. Well, maybe so. Remember, I'm talking about convicted woman and child rapists/murders here, that's it for this article. I'll tell you one thing, if I were running things, there would be fewer of our children getting raped and murdered. Don't give me "they're sick". The victims are dead and died a long, horrible, painful and frightening death. That's sick!
If the guilty man took the victim and was caught before he rapped and/or killed the victim and the victim was alive, those responsible would suffer. I would put them on an island together and drop food once a month from a plane. It would be cheaper than keeping them in prison and safer than letting them out to make room for more. It wouldn't cost $127 billion a year.
And, if anyone protested, they would join him or her within 24 hours! They could work on a rehabilitation plan for all of them. I bet no one would say a word. The only way to stop this madness is with swift and certain justice. Tough? You're darn right!
If you have a daughter you love, get her into self-defense classes now. Teach her to defend herself. Give her a fighting chance. Don't wait until it happens to her before you do something. If you can't afford the cost, teach her some techniques yourself. If you don't know any, watch TV. It's all there. Get on the Internet and learn.
If you don't and your innocent child is raped and killed, you will have to watch the one who did it coddled, given all the comforts he didn't have on the outside. You'll have to go to court and see him every day, watch his lawyers trying their sinful best to get him out of it. And, if they do, you'll have to watch him walk out of court a free man. Free to stalk another yet another victim.
Prison officials estimate that over the next four years the prison population will surge by nearly one-third. Without alternative sentencing the $300 million cost will be $400 million or more in operating costs. Capital costs for buildings will be even more.
By the way, nothing happens to the lawyer, judge or parole board member that frees rapists/killers. They live to free another guilty man (or woman) and chalk it up to another day's work. It's you and I who lose our innocents. When will someone DO something about that?
Start a neighborhood watch. Never let you child walk to or from anywhere alone. Teach them to protect themselves. Go to your child's school and watch what goes on in the halls, bathrooms, classrooms, and showers. Hey, these are your kids. If you don't care about them, don't do anything and some low scumbag just might find him or her. It's them I am concerned about. The law will protect the rapist/killer; it's your responsibility to protect your child.
God help this country if we just bury our heads in shame. We watch TV and shake our heads and go about our business - until it hits home. Then we understand. Then we cry, get outraged and sick when we think of what happened to our child. We bury our children. We watch the man and the justice system play their games and we cry and cry... God bless the children and all victims.
Until we the people stand up and protest, write our politicians every day if necessary, go to the media (newspapers, television, radio and the Internet) those in power will not stop how things are done. When is enough - enough? When WE act united and say it is! Send this article to everyone you know today.
