USATF Bans Use of AURA Performance Footwear type technology.

The USATF sighting a rule which states that footwear "must not be constructed so as to give the competitor any additional assistance, and no spring or device of any kind may be incorporated in the shoes", has banned spring based technology from its list of approved footwear.

(PRWEB) February 18, 2004 --Aura Performance Footwear which holds the US and International patents for spring based technology in the midsoles of athletic shoes, states that although the USATF currently does not allow superior advancements in technology concerning athletic footwear, our customer base is the 18 - 50 year old, professional that enjoys excercising, but has not been able to because of the shock and pounding associated with running. They want superior protection, not gold medals.

With Aura's DSS and Spring-Air patents, virtually all shock is dispersed, and motion is controlled.

Aura Performance Footwear will be available through specialty running stores, and select athletic footwear stores in the US in Spring 2005.
