Dear Friends and Family, We hope this letter finds you well and healthy! It’s been pretty hectic here catching up on all the mail from people who have been getting such a kick out of our Grill-Rub Gear. Recently we found out that an old friend of ours actually got a date from a conversation that was started by his “Real Men Rub Their Meat with . . .” sweatshirt. Greg, if you’re out there, let us know how it’s going. We also received some pictures of a beautiful little girl named Regan who is growing like a weed and loves her “Baby Recycling Center” jumper. Can’t tell you enough how enjoyable it is to get these things, so please, please, please keep sending us your favorite Grilling and Gearing stories and pictures. Copy your friends or family so they can have a good nostalgic laugh. Remember the beer can chicken that exploded because you forgot to open the can of beer? Grandma B.’s Helpful Tip of the Month

Is your coffee pot growing green dust bunnies or is your coffee tasting like green dust bunnies?

If so, then this is the month to fix it.

Simply put a cup of white vinegar in the reservoir, fill it up the rest of the way full with clean water, and turn the pot on.

After it has cycled, empty the pot, let it cool to prevent breakage, and then run two cycles of clean water through to remove any vinegar residue. Presto, clean glass and better tasting coffee!

Don’t forget to get your grill tuned up for spring. Follow your owner’s manual carefully. Clean. Season grates if needed. Check starters, burners, hoses, and gaskets-we want you to all to stay in one piece. For heavens sake don’t use oven cleaner, treat your grill like Grandma’s cast iron skillet.

Barbetta’s Shrimp Boil

Ingredients

Grocery Department

1 Cup Ketchup

Fresh Seafood Department

3 Pounds Shrimp-Fresh, Deveined, Large Prawn

Dairy Department or See Our Friends at http://www.smugglers-lounge.com
3 Tablespoon Horseradish-Prepared (NOT CREAM)

1/4 Cup Grill-Rub

Directions

In A Large Pot

Add 6 Quarts Water

Add 1/4 Cup Grill-Rub (or to taste)

Bring to a Rolling Boil

While Waiting For Boil

Rinse 3 Pounds Shrimp in Cold Water and Drain

Make Cocktail Sauce In A Small Bowl by Mixing

1 Cup Ketchup

3 Tablespoons Horseradish-Prepared (or to taste)

Use MUCH LESS If Smuggler's-VERY HOT!

When Boil Is Rolling

Add 3 Pounds Shrimp

Cook Shrimp Until Shells are Pink and Flesh is White Throughout (About 3-5 Minutes, Do Not Over Cook)

Peel, Chill If Desired, Dip, and Eat!
