WildFire Media Relations LLC Sets Up Shop

Media veteran Dan Sousa announces the opening of WildFire Media Relations LLC, a full-service public relations firm that specializes in media relations.

Ashburn, VA (PRWEB) February 18, 2004 --Media veteran Dan Sousa announces the opening of WildFire Media Relations LLC, a full-service public relations firm that specializes in media relations.

In addition to media relations, WildFire (www.wildfiremediarelations.com) will offer clients writing, editing and research services, a Loudoun County-based clipping service focused on local media, and other public relations programs.

WildFire Media Relations LLC opens with several clients on its roster including: Explosive Performance, a speed, agility and strength conditioning group based out of the Worldgate Sport and Health Club in Herndon, Va.; GraphixStation, a graphic design firm named the 2003 home-based business of the year by the Loudoun County (Va.) Chamber of Commerce; and the Loudoun County (Va.) Department of Economic Development, which has signed a one-year contract for WildFires clipping services.

This is an exciting time to set up business in Northern Virginia and in Loudoun County in particular," Sousa said. The tremendous growth in this area provides a good opportunity for communication firms such as WildFire."

Sousa has spent the last four years handling media relations in North America and for English-speaking press worldwide for French-based Digigram, a company that provides digital audio networked solutions.

While I enjoyed working with Digigram and the audio trade press around the world, Im looking forward to the prospect of working with locally-based clients," Sousa said. Im targeting small to mid-size companies that may lack the resources to properly maintain their media relations profile."

Prior to working with Digigram, Sousa helped establish the communications department at the nonprofit Academy for Educational Development in Washington, D.C. He also worked in New York City for the public relations firm of Bratskeir & Company.

Before entering public relations, Sousa spent a decade in journalism. He worked five of those years at the Potomac News in Woodbridge, Va. and later was a freelancer for the Associated Press and other publications covering the NFL, NBA, NHL and other sports.
