Initial Testing Results in on New Oil Technology

Airlift Services International, Inc (ASI) the makers of the patented Airlift Oil Pumping Systems that pumps oil using compressed air released the results of an initial study today.

Anderson, IN (PRWEB) February 19, 2004 --Airlift Services International, Inc (ASI) the makers of the patented Airlift Oil Pumping Systems that pumps oil using compressed air released the results of an initial study today. According to President Dr. John Marvel, The results have shown what I knew all along which is that the Airlift Pump increases the uptime and reduces costs for owners of marginal wells."

The initial study done shows the following:

Percent of downtime: 1.7%
Average Number of Days Between Failures: 146%
Average Number of Days Down Per Failure: 2.5%

The tests were conducted on 800 feet deep wells in the Trenton" formation located in Northern Indiana. The Airlift Systems used in the test are generation 3.1 models, and have cummulative testing time of 583 days. Previous models of Airlift Systems have been in use in wells in Indiana since 1999.

According to Dr. Marvel, I am very pleased with these results on my own field I have a well that is down about 15%." In addition to the downtime the pump jack will have higher costs in parts and labor. The Airlift has almost no moving parts, and no cups, rods, or barings so there is a lot less to replace and this shows up in the average number of days down." Said Dr. Marvel

ASI now has testing sites in Indiana and Illinois with more planned for the future. According to Dr. According to Dr. Marvel, We are going to continue to test in different environments, and depths as we develop a pump that can work in deeper wells."
