(PRWEB) February 21, 2004 --A pint of blood donated to the Medic Regional Blood Center will ensure your family does not have to pay blood supply processing fees in any hospital in the U.S.

According to Medic, A-positive and A-negative blood supplies are extremely low and below the minimum levels required. O-negative and O-positive donors are still needed, but donors of all blood types are encouraged to give since shortages average over 100 pints per day.

In East Tennessee, Medic supplies 28 hospitals in a 21 --county region, which includes Knox County.

In Knoxville, you may donate blood at Walker's Crossing Apartment Homes, located at 8301 Block House Way., Friday, Feb. 27, 2004, from 10am-6pm.
