(PRWEB) February 22, 2004 --Federal Reserve Bank of New York has selected The Edcomm Group to create four critical on-line learning courses directed at educating their entire employee population. The topics selected for this web-based instruction are Code of Conduct, Ethics Training, EEO and Bank Supervision.
The Edcomm Group wrote and developed these programs in close coordination with the existing polices and procedures of the Federal Reserve Bank as a web-based (distance learning) training tool. The Banks employees are able to pace their development between modules and among programs according to their other business obligations. These programs are models for on-line education in both form and function, having been specifically created by Edcomm web designers and staff trainers.
The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is one of the 12 regional Reserve Banks, which, together with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., make up the Federal Reserve System. The Fed," as the system is commonly called, is an independent governmental entity created by Congress in 1913 to serve as central bank of the United States. In addition, it has important roles in operating the nations payment systems, protecting consumer rights in their dealings with banks and promoting community development and reinvestment.
The Edcomm Group is a 17-year-old multimedia education and communication consulting firm specializing in the development of creative business solutions that improve productivity, customer service and market share - providing bottom-line results. The Edcomm Group (www.edcomm.com) is headquartered in New York City with an Advanced Design Center located in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania.
