Indianapolis-headquartered Shank Public Relations Counselors "Leaps To Help" In Honor of Leap Year

Indianapolis PR firm volunteers to help not-for-profits in honor of Leap Year day during "Leap To Help" volunteer day. This is in addition to the 800 hours of pro bono time dedicated to serving the community said, President, David L. Shank.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (PRWEB) February 22, 2004 ---In honor of Leap Year, all associates of Shank Public Relations Counselors, Inc., will work Friday, Feb. 27 as volunteers for several local not-for-profit organizations. Actual Leap Year Day is Sunday, Feb. 29.

The day set aside to volunteer for Leap Year will be in addition to the more than 800 hours the company dedicates each year supporting not-for-profit human services, arts, cultural and education organizations.

We created the idea of 'Leap to Help as a special way for Shank Public Relations Counselors to take advantage of the extra day in the year to lend a hand to the people in the city who need it most," said David L. Shank, APR, president. Everyone from the president, to account managers, the office coordinator, and the intern will apply some elbow grease to assist organizations in need of a few extra hands. Shank Public Relations Counselors will spend a combined total of more than 50 people hours volunteering on Feb. 27 alone!

Shank Public Relations Counselors will put in a full day of work completing projects for Damar Services, Lutheran Child and Family Services, YMCA and The Salvation Army.

Projects will vary from painting to filing to videotaping. Spending a day volunteering outside of the office is a way for Shank Public Relations Counselors to help service organizations," Shank said.
