BEI Automation Announces New Motorized Projection Screens

With two models to choose from, The Alpine XL is designed for being ceiling recess mounted and is plenum rated. The Laminar XL is designed to be surface mounted on the wall and has interchangeable decorative inserts made of high pressure laminate to compliment any decor.

Both models have powder coated extruded aluminum housings, motor-in-roller design and a 5 year warranty followed by an impressive line up of features. Native low-voltage control is embedded in the motor so theres no extra black box to wire. The motors automatic stop limits are set from the three button wall switch which is also included. The motor can be programmed with two different lower stop limits so that you can select between two different aspect ratios. The limit settings are stored in non-volatile memory inside the motor. The low-voltage interface supports up to two wall switches, an IR receiver, and contact closures. An Ethernet/RS232 controller with an embedded web server is also available.

The viewing surface structure is truly unique. Say good bye to tab-tensioned screens because the viewing surface is internally tensioned". No tabs, no edge-curl. The viewing surface is available in Matte White and High-Contrast Gray. The image area is black-bordered on all four sides and 12" of black drop is standard. This unique fabric is 100% opaque, fire retardant and white on the back. An industry first is the ability to convert the screen to reverse-roll, after its installed, without removing the roller or fabric! Both models are light-weight and very easy to install.
