SofTulz.Net announces Purgos Version 2.2. Managing all your local and remote clients simultaneously, in real-time, has never been easier.
(PRWEB) February 24, 2004 --Purgos provides the ability to make tedious, time consuming administrative tasks a thing of the past. Modifying a registry value on a large number of machines used to be a laborious operation, now it can be done with the click of a button.
By leveraging WMI, a Microsoft® technology bundled with Windows 2000 and XP, Purgos has the administrative power to seamlessly integrate with your existing network infrastructure. This eliminates the need to deploy management software to existing clients. The benifit of using WMI as the framework, is extensibility for the administrator.
Since Purgos utilizes a console server architecture, administrators that need to manage clients over a slow connection now have this ability, along with real-time management. This is made possible by installing the server component at the same location as the clients. The console then is able to minimize all network traffic to the administrator by allowing the server to handle the client communication. This method provides an experience similar to being located on the same LAN as the clients. All communication is done via a secure authenticated connection.
Purgos offers a reporting mechanism that gives administrators the ability to acquire detailed information about virtually any aspect of all machines on the network from one central location. This information is then presented in a simple easy to understand report that can be exported to an XML document for additional analysis.
Remote Desktop capabilities are also provided from within the Purgos console.
