Studio Automation Tool Flexes Muscles
Darim Visions FS1000 Automated Video Server
Gets Post Play Functionality
Pleasanton, CA (PRWEB) February 25, 2004 --Darim Vision (www.darim.com), a leading provider of integrated MPEG Encoding, Streaming, Broadcasting, and Security solutions, announced today that its FS1000, automated video server, now boasts added functionality with the addition of Post Play. Darims FS1000 is known throughout the post production industry as the ultimate small studio tool, automating entire station functions and simplifying video capture and scheduled playback while easily enabling the insertion of scheduled breaks. The new Post Play function enables the retransmission of live video feeds on a scheduled or minimal delay, while enabling breaks to be inserted into the feed without losing any video data.
Smaller studios and network affiliates can now enjoy the freedom and flexibility of larger studios. These smaller studios can receive satellite feeds, such as sporting events, breaking news, or even network feeds, and re-broadcast them with as little or as much delay as they desire. The Post Play feature enables the user to mix in real-time these multiple audio/video feeds from multiple sources and even schedule in commercials or announcements in the live feed without any loss to the video feed. Format agnostic, the FS1000 accepts any data including JPEG, MPEG, and DV formats simultaneously in real-time and is capable of recording up to two channels of analog feed while simultaneously playing the current schedule.
The FS1000 was designed to minimize costs by lowering operational expenses associated with personnel and materials needed to effectively run a studio. The FS1000 enables an operation to completely automate its workflow. Furthermore, users of the FS1000 realize savings in purchase and archival of tapes as video is transferred to hard disk and stored as audio visual interface (AVI) files enabling even faster retrieval of archives for editing and replay.
"Our goal is to provide small studios with the quickest, and most easy-to-use solution for station automation," said John Houston, vice president of marketing for Darim. "The FS1000 delivers unmatched ease of use and flexibility, which significantly accelerates tedious station tasks like the archiving of tape and other media to be delivered later. Now with the added functionality of the Post Play -- a studio operator can easily capture, edit, and store clips and then create a scheduled play list for broadcast or even automate live feeds."
