Get passionate about the Passion of the Christ" with Spanish subtitles at Cinema Latino of Phoenix on Ash Wednesday

Cinema Latino de Phoenix invites you to watch The Passion of Christ at   Cinema Latino de Phoenix-7611 W. Thomas Rd. Phoenix, 85033 on Opening Wednesday, February 25, 2004

Ash Wednesday-February 25, 2004-will mark the opening of the most anticipated and controversial film of the year, The Passion of the Christ. As you may know, this movie was filmed in Aramaic and Latin. We are proud to announce that we have secured the only prints available in the United States with Spanish subtitles, rather than English, so that our Spanish-speaking customers can enjoy this film subtitled en espaņol.

The Passion of the Christ is a film about the last twelve hours of Jesus Christs life. From the last supper, to his trial, and his ultimate sacrifice, Passion is said to become the most famous Biblical movie ever made. The film is based on the Gospel narratives and has been called an accurate portrayal of Christs last hours by Pope John Paul II. To add to its authenticity the entire film is in Aramaic, Latin and Hebrew, the vernacular of ancient Palestine. Written and Directed by Oscar winning director Mel Gibson, this has been a dream project of his, into which he invested $25 million of his own money to see it come to fruition.

With churches across the nation purchasing entire theaters and canceling services during opening weekend, The Passion of the Christ has already become a cultural phenomenon.

Please join Cinema Latino during the very important opening weekend of this film. Cinema Latino is the only movie theatre the Hispanic community can see every movie en espaņol!

Along with ambient Latin music playing in the lobby, patrons will be greeted and served by a bilingual staff to enhance the overall cultural connection.

For more information and movie times please call 1-888-588-CINE (2463) and press the number 2.
