Know Thy Enemy", A Looking Glass For Computer Vulnerabilities.

Originally started as a sight dedicated to the ongoing education and security of government and military systems, the site has become a collection of exploits, hacking how-tos and defense papers.

(PRWEB) February 26, 2004 --Know Thy Enemy", the motto which is emblazoned on the http://www.GovernmentSecurity.org website, seems to sum the sites purpose in one sentence. Originally started as a sight dedicated to the ongoing education and security of government and military systems, the site has become a collection of exploits, hacking how-tos and defense papers.

The site attempts hold a status of no-mans land, as both security gurus and blackhat hackers have made there homes there. The active forum community on the site boasts over 10,000 users who participate in active discussions on the latest exploits and defenses against them. The sites founder GSecur claims that the site holds a Library Status", seemingly indicating the site is an archive for information and makes no judgment upon its users.

As indicated by many of the forum posts, users do use the sites to learn the latest security exploits. Yet, many systems administrators utilize site to learn what the latest exploits are, and what specific attacks to prepare for. Such seemingly different goals are all achieved through the use of the same information is a refreshing thought.

No matter what your stance may be, the site offers a wealth of information. The downloads section boasts a wealth of hard to find exploit utilities that would be treasured by any penetration tester. So take the site as you may but no matter what give it a visit.
