Official Georgia State Flag To Honor The BIG Chicken!!!

Welcome honorable citizens of Georgia! This is the Website for the "Official Georgia State Flag" (www.BC-Flag.com) initiative. Millions of people around the world have heard about, and love Georgias BIG Chicken. Therefore all Friends of the BIG Chicken support the courageous initiative that will place HER image on the new Official Georgia State Flag. Votes are being collected on a petition now!

Georgia (PRWEB) February 27, 2004 -- YES! Even Governor Sonny Perdue supported this courageous proposal in his January 2004 State of the State speech. We clearly heard Gov. Perdue proclaim:

"In the area of entertaining Georgias most important natural resource (our children), Im making a courageous commitment to changing our Official State of Georgia Flag to include an image of our states best known character: The BIG Chicken!"

On Monday & Tuesday, March 1 & 2, 2004 (from 1-2 PM) Johnny D'Farmer appeared on the steps on the GA State Capital passing out flyers to support this courageous initiative (http://www.ajc.com/news/content/custom/politics/blog/georgia/archives/2004/03/01/man_crows_virtues_of_big_chicken_flag.html) In related news, there will be a statewide referendum on the Georgia State flag Tuesday. People across the state will be able to vote, but currently there are only two alternatives being offered on this ballot (one holds on to the past, and the other simply offers a handshake for the present). Yet the BEST alternative is ours and courageously seizes a dynamic vision for the future. Please vote for our excellent alternative!

Sadly the Internet Petition/Vote Website has crashed because of technological challenges due to the volume of traffic (to be reprogrammed soon)!!! As of today (12/03/04) these are the vote results for the Official Georgia Big Chicken Flag:

Number in FAVOR: 209,938
Number AGAINST: 173

Lets honor the BIG Chicken by placing her image on Georgias new Official State Flag! Sadly Georgia state legislators and newspaper reporters have joined efforts to keep this GREAT flag-alternative from being publicized. Collectively they seem to say:

"We must honor the BIG Chickens request for privacy!"

When the BIG Chicken is mentioned in conversation, there are still some here in Georgia that think about the Marietta statue of her that was built in her honor. But that was constructed in honor of the genuine BIG Chicken that is real and she lives up on Kennesaw Mountain! Shes A-L-I-V-E... Help to honor her on the new flag with your support & vote.
