New in-home service offers a taste of cruising cuisine at South Florida parties

Less than a year after launching her successful cookbook Cruising Cuisine for Home Entertaining, local author and chef Elena Vakhrenova has introduced an exclusive catering and party planning service that features cruise line-style recipes and presentations designed exclusively for South Floridas affluent lifestyle.

PLANTATION, FL (PRWEB) February 29, 2004 --Less than a year after launching her successful cookbook Cruising Cuisine for Home Entertaining, local author and chef Elena Vakhrenova has introduced an exclusive catering and party planning service that features cruise line-style recipes and presentations designed exclusively for South Floridas affluent lifestyle.

With the tremendous impact cruising has in South Florida, its natural that homes reflect world class cuisine and presentations when they invite guests. Our service is designed for people who want to entertain as graciously at home as cruise lines are known to entertain at sea," says Chef Elena. Named the same as the book, Cruising Cuisine for Home Entertaining provides in-home catering and personal chef services limited to groups of 4 to 24 guests.

All preparation is done on site, providing a unique opportunity for homes that have open and expansive kitchens. Concepts range from an intimate approach to lunch or dinner that allows guests to watch and learn as their food is prepared, to full-service party planning and catering. Food choices follow Chef Elenas three simple rules: We want our clients to eat healthy, to introduce them to secrets of cruise line cuisine, and to whet their appetites for more."

Sample selections consist of Country Pâté wrapped in Prosciutto di Parma and Chives, mouth-watering Beef Short Ribs, Smoked Salmon on Crispy Chive Pancakes, Chicken Potstickers, Warm Peppered Beef Skewers with Sherry-Plum Sauce, Whole Poached Salmon with Horseradish-Tarragon Cream, Rosemary and Thyme Marinated Beef Tenderloin and Salmon Wellington.

Prices range from $40.00 to $65.00 per person for a seated dinner to $120.00 per person for a 7-course dinner based on luxury cruise line menus. Gourmet hors doeuvres prices vary from $9.00 to $18.00 per person. Charges may vary based on minimum and maximum number of guests.
