More than 50,000 join Forces in Operation Unification

New moderate libertarian group growing quickly. Working to impact Presidential Elections with socially liberal, fiscal conservative issues.

(PRWEB) February 29, 2004 --Operation Unification www.operationunification.org. Only two months after its creation moderate libertarian organization Operation Unification has brought together more than 50 thousand liberty activists. OU began in mid-December as an idea on Internet discussion groups as an answer to the never-ending limitations on personal freedom and the never-ending growth of the Federal Government.

The plan is simple. OU is actively seeking individuals and groups, to agree to exchange information and support each others causes on a myriad of issues from ending the war on drugs, to limiting government spending on ineffective programs, to fighting for smokers rights.

The largest impact so far has been from individuals representing groups that are already out there on the Internet and in real life, fighting for freedom," said OU founder Frank Worley. There are literally hundreds of these groups and small political parties, fighting a lonely battle against the excesses of government. But the best part of it is, they really arent alone. OUs job is to bring them together, help them share resources and support each other and eventually begin voting for real substantial change in state and federal government operations."

The groups that have joined OU include Forces International, and internet based organization with branches in more than a dozen states that is working to debunk the junk science of second hand smoke; Smokers United Against Discrimination, a Florida based group that fights for smokers rights; Fast Freds Motorcycle E-Zine and ABATE of South Carolina and ABATE of West Virginia, both working to reform motorcycle laws; The New Jersey Coalition for self defense, working for the rights of citizens to keep and bear arms; Dead Bang Guns.com a commercial firearms dealer and Second Amendment supporter; and an Illinois Marijuana Party candidate for congress in Illinois.

In all, these groups represent more than 50 thousand people and that is a conservative number," said Worley. Forces International had more than 1 million site visits to their page during the last 12 months, the Illinois Marijuana Party had more than a quarter of a million site visits in the last 6 months, while Smokers United Against Discrimination has had more than 30,000 inquiries in the last year."

We are confident that as word gets out that there is one group, one clearing house for freedom loving people, our group will continue to grow by leaps and bounds. In the next 12 months we hope to reach critical mass and begin having a serious impact on state and federal elections and hopefully, begin turning the tide on excess government, excess spending and excess restriction of fundamental constitutional rights."
