The effects of multiple sclerosis are far-reaching. While some 400,000 persons in the U.S. are diagnosed with the disease, its impact is felt by countless numbers of family members, friends, caregivers, and employers. With health, social, and economic consequences, the fight against MS requires the awareness and assistance of many. These include health care professionals, social workers, disability organizations, insurance companies, legislators, scientists, members of the media, as well as the general public. It takes a team to tackle MS!
