Novel RFID and Bar Code object coding technology provides real-time access to accurate, detailed object information for supply chain and object identification applications, simply and at a very low cost.

AgilityTech releases a novel object coding technology (GIC). Its use facilitates the automatic transfer of detailed information between remote and unrelated servers for supply chain and object identification and tracing applications. Its utilizes existing systems and required a minimum of user training and data base maintenance.

Collegeville, PA (PRWEB) March 3, 2004 -- GL AgilityTech, Inc. announces the roll-out of its patent pending, Global Identification CodeTM (GICTM) Object Coding Technology. GIC is an object coding protocol which allows an individual, upon reading the objects code, to automatically access detailed information about the object, stored in a remote second party data base, in real-time, using only an Internet connection. GIC does not require any proprietary hardware or software and eliminates the need for expensive user data input, user training, data base maintenance, and registration with a Standards organization. GIC offers all the benefits of existing systems, such as open architecture, enter-operability, 99%+ accuracy, and security, but without their complexity and cost. And, in addition, there is an unlimited level of data content that can be instantly and automatically retrieved about any GIC coded object.

In supply chain applications, vendor invoice, bill of lading, product data sheet, product safety information or simply the product name or code can be automatically entered into your IT system by simply scanning the product at Receiving. No data input or system maintenance is needed. The GIC as a novel code that is compatible with UPC and EPC and other proprietary coding schemes, but dose not require their use. It can be applied to any object in a bar code, RFID tag form and can be read by the appropriate existing reading devices.

In object identification applications, the GIC code instantly directs a remote user to detailed information about the coded object on the Internet site for that code at the organization who applied the code to the object. There is no reliance on a centralized system or data base, or any proprietary hardware or software. Also, as with the supply chain applications, user data input, training, or data base maintenance can be significantly reduced.

AgilityTech will work with developers on application utilities that utilize GIC Technology. We also have a number of common utility solutions under development including our WAREHOUSE LOCATORTM solution set for low cost and highly reliable inventory tracking; GLOBAL LOCATORTM software for real-time global product or animal tracing; and ACCU-IDTM software to retrieve detailed object information such as cradle to grave" product history, product authenticity, environmental handling instructions, or product repair information. All will enhance the benefits of the GIC Technology.
