(PRWEB) March 3, 2004 -- Before you start thumbing through the local yellow pages for a caterer to plan your next gala event, check with the savviest Event Planning Entrepreneurs in the area, Black Tie Optional. With extensive backgrounds in Project Management, Public Relations, Catering, Wedding Consulting and Event Planning, the moms turned entrepreneurs have 14 years of combined experience to lend to your event.
Lainika Johnson-Colbert and Natacha Andrews are two young women with a desire to please and a drive to succeed. For the past two years, Colbert has operated Colbert Catering while Andrews, just down the street headed up Bells, Knots & Broomsticks, a wedding consulting company. After exchanging contracts a few times, the obvious move was to merge their two concepts and companies.
Merging the two companies allows the women to offer something unique in a saturated market. Combining full-service planning with a project team that will walk you through every aspect your event, allows you to be in control of the final product.
When asked how they are able to provide such a high level of service at these low prices, Colbert explains, Were moms. We know how to get things done on budget with limited resources and time." Amazingly, she has catered numerous independent films and corporate events while pregnant.
Although Colbert majored in marketing, her background is mainly in Project Management. She spent several years in the telecommunications arena before striking out on her own. Colbert is married and has two children, both under the age of two.
Andrews has a law degree from Howard University and is barred in the state of New Jersey. She is fluent in English, Spanish and French. She is also married with two children.
The newly merged company is still operating under the banner of Colbert Catering & Craft Services. Custom packages can range from simple business catering to full fledged gala affairs. For more information, visit www.colbertcatering.com or call (818) 985-1095.
