SDH and SONET up to 2.5 and 10 Gbit/s Now Available as Separate Models - for the price of Victoria STM-16/OC-48

Trend Communications has launched four low cost models: Victoria Combo STM-16, Victoria Combo STM-64, Victoria Combo OC-48, and Victoria Combo OC-192. These stand-alone models can be transformed into the modular version of Victoria Combo by a simple software upgrade.

BARCELONA, SPAIN (PRWEB) March 4, 2004 -- The robust design and the field-replaceable batteries of Victoria Combo make it easy to operate at any measurement point, under any conditions. Removable optical connectors guarantee easy cleaning, especially useful in field operation, and essential to avoid false error indications.

These stand-alone models have the same features as the modular Victoria Combo, in line with all the applicable ITU-T and Telecordia standards. These features include APS, TCM, pointer events, M/N alarms, G.828, G.829, BER tests on DCC and OH channels, optical power measurement, and so on.

These testers can be controled from anywhere in the world, any time, either via the Internet or using an Ethernet or Wireless network. Monitoring, maintenance and remote assistance to field technicians are therefore easier, overall costs are reduced and less time is required to respond to network failures. Several remote users can control the same unit at the same time, using Victoria Combo as a shared resource installed on a fixed site. Generating results files and programming automated tasks is as easy as it is to transfer files between a PC and Victoria Combo.

The new Victoria Combo STM-16 and Victoria Combo OC-48 models are now available for the price of Trend's standard Victoria STM-16/OC-48.
