Advanced Handling Systems Hires New Account Manager - Promotes Two Others to Senior Leadership Roles

New organizational changes within Advanced Handling Systems

CINCINNATI (PRWEB) March 4, 2004 -- Advanced Handling Systems, Inc. (AHS), a leading provider of planning, design, implementation and post-project evaluation services for the materials handling industry, today announced the hiring of Dave Valentine as Account Manager and the promotion of Robert (Bob) Lancaster to Senior Project Engineer and Randy Whitaker to Manager of Integration Services.

These changes underscore our commitment to our customers," said Chuck Frank, President and COO of Advanced Handling Systems. With more than 70 years combined experience and their diverse backgrounds working in materials handling and related fields, Dave, Bob, and Randy each bring an unprecedented level of leadership and knowledge to the projects on which they are involved."

The newest addition to the AHS team is Dave Valentine. In his role as Account Manager, Valentine takes over the day-to-day client management activities formerly performed by Sue Shields. (Shields remains with the company and will continue to actively serve clients in her previously announced new assignment as Manager of the companys Equipment Group.) Prior to joining AHS, Valentine was employed as an Applications Engineer by R.A. Jones & Co. Inc. in Covington, a position he held since joining that firm in 1998. In that role, Valentine supported the sales cycle by providing comprehensive solutions to complex applications which included detailed cost estimates, proposals, creating concept drawings and performing other related activities.

With more than 30 years of experience in the materials handling industry, Bob Lancaster has been part of the AHS team since the companys formation in 1985. In his new role as Senior Project Engineer, Lancaster will continue to have a senior role in the design and installation of projects for clients such as Gap Inc., Cardinal Health and Thomson Learning. A proud father of four and grandfather of two, he holds an Associate degree in Technical Design from Eastern Kentucky University.

For Randy Whitaker, the promotion to Manager of Integration Services is yet another notch in a career marked by success. In this new role, Whitaker, who joined AHS in 2003, will assume a lead role for the companys integration projects while continuing to oversee the companys work on the $7 million expansion project for Finish Line in Indianapolis, Indiana. Previously with Gap, Inc., the father of two began his career more than 20 years ago after graduating from Ball State University.
