Move-Up America and Morrison Homes Houston Partner to Offer Move-Up Program

(PRWEB) March 5, 2004 -- Move-Up America, LLC and Morrison Homes Houston today announced a strategic alliance through which Move-Up America will provide their Move-Up Program, a homebuyer contingency management program. The alliance is designed to aid both Morrison Homes and its contingency buyers in the sale of their existing home and the purchase of the newly constructed Morrison home.

"Working with an industry leader like Move-Up America to offer their contingency management program for our home buyers is a tremendous opportunity by filling a very specific buyer need," said Dan Beasley, vice president of sales and marketing of Morrison Homes in Houston. "This kind of relationship opens the door to new opportunities for Morrison, and provides new ways for us to serve our customers."

Morrison Homes is currently building in seventeen subdivisions in Houston. By offering the Move-Up Program, Morrison Homes is providing the resource to help buyers sell their present house and move up to their new Morrison home. A Move-Up America representative will determine the marketability and the value of the buyers present home and then assign a realtor to list the house at the agreed upon price. The average savings are five to eight thousand dollars in commissions.

"Delivering a useful program that provides customers with exceptional value is what our Move-Up Program is all about," said Greg Windham, vice president, marketing division of Move-Up America. "We are excited to be partnering with Morrison Homes in Houston as it gives our mutual customers the opportunity to not only reduce the time and cost associated with selling their contingency home, but significantly enhance their home buying experience as well."

According to J.D. Power and Associates, home builders are starting to recognize that strong customer satisfaction can be vital to success in a highly competitive market. The Move-Up Program, a program that is gaining steam in a robust home-building market, is currently being offered by homebuilders in Texas, Georgia and Florida.
