Ithaca, NY (PRWEB) March 5, 2004 -- ELK Productions, announced this week that the feature documentary film, Cayuga Lake Wine Country: Road Trip" released last October has been accepted for exhibition by the New York Independent Film and Video Festival 2004. This annual event, held in April, features films and videos from around the world, including Canada, Spain, France, China, Germany, Brazil, Great Britain and of course all over the United States
I am excited this film has been recognized." states Eric C Lindstrom, Producer of the 45-minute feature. We knew we had something special when it went into editing back in August and now others have noticed what a wonderful glimpse into New York Wine country we have produced."
The film, available on DVD, combines breathless scenery with interviews of the vineyard owners in a tour of Upstate New Yorks Finger Lakes region. Directed by Kevin Hicks, the road trip" sets the tone for a wine trail unlike any feature has.
This project is not only the first of its kind for Cayuga Lake, it also precedes any other wine trail in the state in its release," remarked Larry F. Baum, Executive Producer. When we saw the opportunity and realized the team weve put together could create a project that captures the essence of this trail, we decided to go for it. The end result is a keepsake for anyone interested in wine."
The DVD features the 15 wineries along Cayuga Lake that are members of the Cayuga Wine Trail. Starting in Ithaca and winding their way up NYS Route 89 in a 1967 Corvair convertible, the viewer gets more than just a taste for wine, they get a taste for a memorable road trip.
Todd M. Wernstrom, Executive Editor of The Wine News Magazine said, ELK Productions has created a vividly shot, entertaining and informative, 45-minute road trip" through the scenic Cayuga Lake Wine Country. Hop in a 67 Corvair convertible for a virtual cruise through the region with stops at 15 wineries and learn why this Finger Lakes area is getting rave reviews for its wines."
The DVD is now available at most Cayuga Wine Trail wineries, area bookstores, gift shops, liquor stores and on-line. For more information, call Laurie Linn, Associate Producer, 1-800-870-6336 ext.26 or visit www.cayugalakewinecountry.com.
