PLYMOUTH, MA (PRWEB) March 6, 2004 --American Dentists have long held an odd affiliation in the development of the golf tee. It is a natural progression that the new Aero-tee is designed by a golfing dentist, Dr. Venanzio Cardarelli, continuing a tradition that cant help but have a successful end.
Passing the Dental Tee Torch"
Teeing up on a mounded of wet sand, pinched to preferred height was the accepted standard until 1899, when a Boston dentist, Dr. George Franklin Grant was issued a patent for a golf tee. It was truly a remarkable achievement. The tee addressed depth placement, least resistances to displacement, flight trajectory of the ball and aerodynamics. The golf community was not made aware of this tee and the invention died with the inventor in 1910.
In 1924, a New Jersey dentist, Dr. William Lowell received a patent for a golf tee. This tee became the standard of practice though Dr. Grant was credited by the USGA in 1991 as the original inventor of the wooden tee.
A Toothy" Advantage
Recent test results of Dr. Cardarellis Aero-tee, the polycarbonate, tooth-shaped golf tee, has proven to perform better than the wooden or other plastic tees when tested by Golf Laboratories, Inc. of California. The Aero-tee, developed by the South Shore dentist and made in Americas hometown of Plymouth, MA allows for a better, straighter and longer drive, which ultimately gives golfers a new, unexpected advantage. You might say it puts a better bite" on a golfers game.
Golf Labs mechanical test results have proven Aero-tee to be the best in overall performance, exceeding the standard wooden tee and its plastic tee competitors in distance, loft, accuracy and roll.
Aero-dynamically designed to allow an airstream under the ball when compared to conventional tees, the patented Aero-tee is unique. Aero-tees attributes also include: three point minimal contact to minimize resistance; tri-fluted design for better ground penetration and stability; side notches to serve as reference points for measurable placement adjustments; and a stem length which allows for individual ball height preferences.

The Aero-tee 'conforms to USGA rules and is available for purchase online at www.Aero-tee.com.
Recycling to Keep Greens Clean
The Aero-tee is durable, break-resistant and designed to last, unlike throw-away tees. Because the Aero-tee is made from polycarbonate, the company has developed the Keep Greens Clean Recycling Rewards Program", which encourages golfers and golf courses to recycle their damaged/non-functional tees to Aero-tee, for proper disposal. Aero-tee partnered with a recycling company to start the program and gives golfers FREE merchandise for their environmentally pro-active efforts.
