Homeland Security Anti-Terrorism Officers Ready for New Assignments
Critical Intervention Services, Incorporated (CIS) announces the second group of Anti-Terrorism Officers (ATOs) to graduate from its program aimed at training and providing specialized homeland security services for critical infrastructures.
CLEARWATER (PRWEB) March 8, 2004 --Critical Intervention Services, Incorporated (CIS) announces the second group of Anti-Terrorism Officers (ATOs) to graduate from its program aimed at training and providing specialized homeland security services for critical infrastructures.
This deployment is the first of its kind and is directed at providing high-end protective services for this countrys critical infrastructure, such as ports, power plants, and water treatment facilities, as well as chemical plants, military bases, embassies, and shipboard security against piracy.
KC Poulin, President and CEO of CIS, stated that this new group of officers follows the January deployment assigned to protect power facilities within the Tampa Bay region. Mr. Poulin further stated that these officers have the training and experience to effectively prevent and respond to threats associated with terrorism and organized violence.
Craig Gundry, Vice President for Critical Intervention Services, commented that In addition to basic security officer training, CIS ATOs receive over 245-hours of advanced instruction in anti-terrorism issues, including bomb detection and response, chemical and biological terrorism, entry point screening, advanced weapons, close quarters battle, and Hazmat Level-III certification. The indoctrination received by CIS Anti-Terrorism Officers rivals federal law enforcement training standards.
