SOHO It Goes! Publishes Report on Virtual Professionalism
Small business owner announces publication of research on the rapidly expanding business trend of virtual professionalism. The report covers three areas: demographics, benefits and hazards, and current technology in the virtual business world.
(PRWEB) March 8, 2004 --Eileen Parzek, a freelance writer and small business owner, has only ever met a handful of her hundreds of clients face to face. Last summer, she interviewed other business owners who operate this way and wrote a report about the state of virtual professionalism. The final 12 page report entitled Virtual Professionalism in 2003" is now available for online download.
A virtual professional is defined as an entrepreneur who uses technology to conduct business, located remotely from their clientele. Based on a detailed online interview of 70 virtual professionals, the report provides a snapshot of this rapidly expanding business phenomenon. The initial survey relied on a combination of statistical questions to determine trends, and open questions in order to gather quotes from virtual professionals. The report covers three areas: demographics, benefits and hazards, and current technology in the virtual business world.
"Having owned a successful and even international virtual business for 9 years now, I feel a strong sense of advocacy towards virtual professionalism," says Parzek, owner of SOHO It Goes!, a marketing design and technology firm. "My goal was to gather both facts and opinions from other virtual professionals, and share what I learned with the business community. I hope that it will encourage other entrepreneurs to consider this way of work and life, and educate people about businesses that operate this way."
