Learn the Secrets to Get out of Credit Card Debt and End Economic Slavery

Lynnette Khalfani, personal finance expert and former Wall Street Journal reporter for CNBC, will conduct a free “Financial Success” workshop on Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at Hue-Man Bookstore in Harlem. The workshop will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and will include a question and answer session for participants.

Financial Success workshops provide practical advice for people who want to take control of their financial destinies. The workshops are based on the teachings of Lynnette’s new book, Investing Success: How To Conquer 30 Costly Mistakes & Multiply Your Wealth! (Advantage World Press; January 2004; $24.95; ISBN 1-932450-50-5). The book has been featured in USA Today and The New York Times, and has received praise from financial advisors as well as people who want to get out of debt and on the road to financial freedom.

“Chronic debt is the number one financial plague in the Black community,” says Lynnette, who has interviewed more than 1,000 financial experts. “Until we get our financial houses in order, we will always be in economic slavery.”

During the intensive workshop attendees will:

  • Receive a 7-step plan on how to eliminate or reduce credit card debt
  • Get advice on how to clean up credit reports and stop creditor harassment
  • Learn the secrets to sticking to a budgeting/savings/investing plan
  • Discover the five key areas for successful investing
  • Find out how to avoid or fix common money management mistakes

Investing Success begins with a foreword by Charles R. Schwab, includes praise from best-selling author David Bach (Automatic Millionaire), among others, and incorporates first-hand accounts from market legends such as billionaire Warren Buffett.

A veteran financial news journalist and former Wall Street Journal reporter for CNBC, Lynnette currently writes a weekly syndicated newspaper column called “Financially Fit.” A seasoned television personality, Lynnette frequently appears on NBC’s Early Today show. She has also been the Personal Finance Editor for Dow Jones Newswires, a correspondent for The Philadelphia Inquirer, a writer for FOX-TV in Philadelphia, and a reporter for the Associated Press in Los Angeles.
