(PRWEB) March 9, 2004 --Sunday, March 21, 2004 at 3 p.m., Trinity Lutheran Church, 31-18 37th Street, Long Island City, will present a Lenten Equinox Recital: "Earth and All Stars", with proceeds going towards the church's E. M. Skinner Organ

All from the Astoria/Long Island City community and beyond are invited to an afternoon of eclectic music for organ, voice, handbells, piano, and musical saw interspersed with poetry and readings drawing on reflective themes of darkening and awakening, night and day, and the coming of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. Featured prominently will be Trinity's historic 1927, 25 rank E. M. Skinner Pipe Organ, which will be undergoing necessary and urgent restoration in the near future. José L. Zambrana, Jr., organist and choirmaster, along with the Trinity Lutheran Church handbell choir and its director Richard Walker, and local artists Natalia Paruz on musical saw, and singer Jorge Altarmirano will join to present a unique range of selections that befits the season, and will be a delight to all!
