New York City, March 10th -- When a Brooklyn, NY native thought happiness had eluded him, he set out to discover the answers that so many of us seek. His journey led him to his hometown of New York City to ask New Yorkers what makes them happy. Some New Yorkers commented jokingly that happiness did not exist in New York, but many more told their stories of happiness as seen in the new documentary film One Happy Movie."

The documentary that started out as a simple idea in the summer of 2001 became a reality during the late summer of 2003 when four filmmakers set out on a ten-day journey that led them to visit 46 different towns and cities across 12 states to make a movie dedicated solely to happiness. The discoveries the filmmakers made have bought an intrigue back to the emotion of happiness. What is it? How does one acquire it? Well, can you answer what makes you happy?

More than 50 New Yorkers could with responses that ranged from the very sweet to the very usually. Amy Fantini stated, a taxicab driver once asked me this." Jessica Kaufman in Brooklyn told the cameras we actually had a fight this morning" which her boyfriend Chris Anderson swiftly responded but the fights over now. Were happy!" Tina Aridas, late 40s, said that the happiest time in her life was now. I dont have an important job, I dont have much money, but I have everything in life thats great." Holly Buczek, 27, who was interviewed along Central Park described happiness as warm and fuzzy" and when asked what makes her happy responded chocolate." Now thats a New Yorker we can all relate to.

Where can you see One Happy Movie? Hopefully across our entire nation! In a time when it is needed the most the filmmakers are sharing their happiness on what they call the Spreading Happiness Tour", visiting as many cities that will have them. You can see the films trailer and several movie clips online at www.onehappymovie.com.
