IIR-X and gantthead.com plan a close partnership as this highly-regarded media property changes hands.

We couldn't be more pleased that an industry leader like gantthead has assumed the stewardship of this

gantthead.com, the world’s largest community of IT project managers has acquired the assets of Projects@Work, one of the most popular media properties covering the profession of project management. This media property will evolve and expand its reach in 2004.

Projects@Work is a leading publication in the Project Management industry focusing on the real world experiences of Project Managers, the software tools they use, and breaking news that affects their careers. The publication boasts a controlled subscriber base of 40,000 project managers, many of whom have relied on Projects@Work as a resource for its entire three year history. Projects@Work was created by ProjectWorld to lend “beyond the conference” support to attendees of the conferences. Over time, it not only became self-sustaining, but gained an excellent reputation as an independent media outlet. Now, as a member of the gantthead family of media properties, this publication is likely to experience audience growth of 50% or more in 2004.

"Projects@Work has played a valuable role in our efforts to serve the project management community, and we look forward to an ongoing collaboration between Projects@Work and ProjectWorld in 2004 and beyond," said Bailey Beeken, president, IIR Exhibitions-U.S. "We couldn't be more pleased that an industry leader like gantthead has assumed the stewardship of this "mission-critical" publication. We are confident that Projects@Work will continue to lead the way in providing real-world solutions and support to project managers, just as ProjectWorld does for attendees of its conferences."

“We are very excited about this acquisition,” said Dave Garrett, president and CEO of gantthead. “Projects@Work is known for its comprehensive coverage of real-world projects and helping subscribers keep up to date on the latest project management tools. The addition of this publication to the gantthead family will allow us to provide an even broader range of information and services to our membership. Our new partnership with IIR-X will allow us to deliver deep, important content from ProjectWorld conferences, known by many of our members as a ‘must attend’ conference for project management professionals.”

gantthead’s acquisition of Projects@Work further solidifies its position as the largest media outlet dedicated to IT project management. Both leading information resources, gantthead and Project World's partnership will translate into a benefit for both companies, their advertising clients, gantthead members, and ProjectWorld’s participants.
