Sheila Shaw: She cannot sit still!
An inspirational story of overcoming medical hurdles

• Legionnaires pneumonia
• Near death on several occasions
• Grand-mall seizures
• Complete kidney failure
• Five years of peritoneal dialysis
• Kidney transplant
This has not held Sheila back! In spite of requiring regular medical visits, monthly blood work, and fistfuls of pills daily" to maintain her health, Sheila has been inspired by her medical problems:
• Inventor- Created the Peritoneal Dialysis Security Band, which makes peritoneal dialysis easier & more comfortable.
• Entrepreneur- Founded several ventures, including Patients Pride, Inc., which markets the Peritoneal Dialysis Security Band.
• Motorcyclist- Regularly races her Suzuki GSXR 600 at an intermediate level.
• Builder- designed and built a 600 square foot studio in her backyard, performing 90% of the construction herself. The studio passed all city inspections- with no prior building experience!
