South Africa to draw huge interest at ITB stand

In its continued efforts to affirm South Africa as a key year-round, value--for-money destination, South African Tourism will be exhibiting at ITB, the worlds biggest travel and tourism exhibition in Berlin from 12 to 16 March 2004.

(PRWEB) March 12, 2004 -- The visually outstanding double-storey South Africa stand at hall 20 in the Africa section -- showcasing over 100 SA exhibitors including the 2002 and 2003 Emerging Entrepreneur of The Year Award (ETEYA) finalists -- is expected to be a hive of activity over the five days of the exhibition.

Highlights of the SA events taking place during the exhibition include a media conference on March 13 and a Celebrate SA night at which leading members of the German Parliament, German Africa Foundation, the SA Embassy and SAFRI/Daimler Chrysler will be welcomed by SA Tourism ceo, Cheryl Carolus.

Other events include a breakfast workshop for German trade and the visiting ETEYA finalists, which will give both parties the opportunity to network and most importantly, to afford the ETEYA finalists a platform to share their products and services with the German trade.

South African Tourisms portfolio manager: Europe, Mzwakhe Msimanga, says: We are very confident that South Africa will again make its presence felt at ITB. There indeed has never been a better time for the German trade and media to sell South Africa. We are extremely proud of the world-class calibre of SA products represented here with us at ITB. They are only the tip of the iceberg of SA excellence, so I heartily encourage everyone to travel to SA in May to Indaba, one of the top three 'must visit travel and trade exhibitions of its kind on the global calendar, to see the amazing wealth of tourism experiences available throughout our beautiful country."
