(PRWEB) March 12, 2004 -- The Driver of the Hansom Cab yelled frantically for all in his path to move. Coco stood paralyzed, with Erick's words echoing through her head. It was just a bet...I'll be marrying Sheri in a couple of months... She never heard the driver yell.
As Evan got closer to her he heard the commotion, then saw the out-of-control carriage heading toward her. Coco! Move!" he yelled, as he ran toward her with all of his might, Move!"
COCO stood motionless, unaware of anything around her. A deep bone-chilling fear ran through Evan's body as he realized that the woman he loved, the only thing that really mattered to him now, was about to be taken away from him. He had to run faster. His lungs burned, but he needed a rush of adrenaline, one last burst of adrenaline to push him over the edge. The carriage was only a few yards away from her! A few seconds was all he had left. COCO!"
His last outcry brought her out of her daze. As Coco slowly turned toward him she saw the horses upon her and let out a blood-curdling scream. With a cry that seemed to come from the very depths of his soul, Evan leaped toward her....
.....Sami looked back down at Eddie sitting in the chair in agonizing pain and snapped his fingers. Guedo walked behind Eddie and wrapped his arm around his neck. Eddie clawed at Guedos arm with both hands while gasping for air. Sami put a cigar in his mouth and lit it. Then he slowly approached Eddie and looked down at him. He took a puff of his cigar and blew smoke into Eddies face.
Now... this is to let you know that Im sincere in what I tell you," Sami said, before pressing the hot embers against Eddies temple.
What Some Readers had to Say:
Roller Coaster Ride - ... Shades In Love: Incriminating Evidence is a roller coaster ride that will have readers guessing until the very last word. The author introduces a lot of different plot twists that hold readers' interest. Ms. Gregory pulls this story together in such a way that I finished the book wanting more. I give this story 3 hot bowls of grits, and I anticipate reading the continuing saga of Ebonee "Coco" Shades.

Like a Tornado!
The suspense is great. It kept me on the edge of my seat. Just when you thought it was headed in one direction, it sent you spinning off into another. It was like a Tornado, it sucks you up and you dont know where youre going to land. A very good book... Albert J. - CA
Reading Shades stirred up some familiar feelings, particularly Coco's love for the ocean. I too have always been mesmerized by it. Awesome and restless, yet serene and soothing much like people is a perfect description that you put into words for me. I loved the poetry in the book. Thank you Sasia for a compelling story and I look forward to your next one. - Susan - New Jersey
