Freecom Launches Two New Ultra Thin 2.5" and 1.8" Fast External USB Hard Drives at FOSE

The 2.5" FHD-2 PRO, is a fast, quiet, external hard disk with one button data synchronization. The new drive can be purchased in one of three memory capacities of 20, 40 or 80 gigabytes - offering ample reserves to access even the largest volumes of data when on the go, such as videos, photos, presentations or MP3 tracks. The new hard disk, with its ultra compact dimensions connects to the PC, laptop or Mac via a USB 2.0 connection. The power supply for the hard disk comes over the USB 2.0 cable, eliminating the need for additional power. The FHD-2 PRO offers high-speed data transfer rates of up to 480 Mbit/s per second, guaranteeing fast data access due to the USB 2.0 connection.
The new FHD-XS is one of the world's smallest external hard drives, redefining the meaning of portable storage. The new drive features two storage capacity options of 20 or 40GB ATA-5 (UDMA/Enhanced IDE compatible) and has an extremely fast data transfer speed over the USB 2.0 bus of up to 480Mbit/s. The pocket sized drive installs in seconds and is hot swappable for maximum flexibility and connects to any PC with a USB 1.1 or 2.0 port. The hard drive features fast installation without rebooting, just plug and go.
Both products arrive with Freecoms unique One Button Data Synchronization for automatically synchronizing files between the external hard drive and a computer or network. These products also include with the Acronis True Image (for Windows only); this software can replicate an exact image or indeed separate partitions of the hard disk drive for complete backup, allowing users to restore all contents, including operating systems, programs, personal data and settings. Both feature an ultra compact, robust aluminum design for mobile computing applications through a hi-speed USB 2.0 interface. A two-year manufacturers warranty, unlimited helpdesk support are included. The products also arrive with complete Freecom information, including the operating system and any applications so the drive can be easily and quickly restored. Both drives are well protected by robust, scratchproof aluminum housing.
