iBwave and TELUS Mobility partner for in-building wireless network design

iBwaves RF-vu software is selected by leading Canadian wireless provider

Montreal, Canada (PRWEB) March 15, 2004 --iBwave is pleased to announce that TELUS Mobility, a leading Canadian wireless provider, has chosen its RF-vu software for the design of in-building networks.

TELUS Mobilitys radio frequency engineers across Canada will use RF-vu for network design, making use of the softwares easy to use interface and database of network components that visually creates and configures networks before installation. With RF-vu, RF engineers no longer have to piece together a mix of word processors, spreadsheets and computer-aided design software to design in-building networks.

We chose RF-vu because it automates the in-building design process. It gives our RF engineers an illustrated view of the in-building design with linked components, equipment lists and automated calculations of power levels and gains and losses within the network," said Raymond Saoumah, TELUS Mobilitys Director of Network Performance. RF-vu has the ability to simultaneously design and configure both our PCS and Mike networks on the same RF cabling system, and provides future support for Wi-Fi designs."

The increasing number of mobile users and the push towards data services is driving the demand for in-building networks. Carriers must rapidly design complex networks while minimizing costs and meeting coverage and capacity needs. RF-vu brings efficiency to this process, giving engineers and technicians the flexibility to build what if" design scenarios to meet specific client needs.

TELUS Mobilitys choice of RF-vu validates the software as a powerful business solution for in-building network design. During the client testing phase of the product, RF-vu quickly proved to be helpful by detecting irregularities with on-going design projects," says iBwave President Mike Cegelski.
