Shonia Brown began her writing career at the young age of 10 as she filled several notebook binders with an all black cast soap opera, and a variety of romance novels. It was later in life that she realized she had a different story to tell, when she accepted her role within another community. Shonia wants to add to the stories of todays black gays and lesbians, and bridge the gap between different cultures (race, religion, sexual orientation, etc.) She believes that the love and acceptance we all search for is the universal bond to tie us all together.
