Fairgrounds that Mopar enthusiasts will need more than one day to experience it all. Bring the whole family, too, since there's something for everyone to see and do at the 14th annual Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals.
Buddy Baker, famous NASCAR racer and commentator, will be on grounds Saturday, July 10, to meet fans. Bakers original NASCAR No. 6 Dodge, on loan from the Darlington Raceway Museum, will be on display as well. Buddy will be available on Saturday for two one-hour autograph sessions. Baker spent 34 years in the Winston Cup circuit, and (as his nickname Leadfoot" suggests) is considered the fastest of all drivers.
The DaimlerChrysler Corporation will bring some hot new concept vehicles to the event as well. The Dodge Slingshot has a three-cylinder engine that produces 95 horsepower and can get 45 mpg. Other special guests include Carl Cameron, who worked for the Chrysler Corporation in exterior design. Cameron helped design the 1966-1967 Charger, 1970 Challenger and 1968 Dart. Hell be at the event all weekend, signing autographs and presenting a question-and-answer seminar.
