The Media Audit Produces New Report On Black Newspaper Readership
Readers of Black Newspapers are more educated, have higher than average household incomes, have solid occupations, more affluent, active within the community and are considered opinion leaders and influencers.
Houston, TX (PRWEB) March 14, 2004 --A quantitative and qualitative report on the readers of black newspapers in 49 metropolitan markets has been produced by The Media Audit.
The Media Audit is a syndicated media ratings service currently covering more than 80 metropolitan markets.
This is the first composite report ever produced for the media represented by National Newspapers Publishers Association (NNPA) and Ethnic Print Media, a media buying service located in San Diego, that represents hundreds of black newspapers," says Bob Jordan, president of International Demographics, Inc. a 33-year-old research firm that produces The Media Audit. The report should be of enormous value," says Jordan, for those selling or buying print media which is exclusively serving the African-American market."
The survey results are based on 5,236 African-American respondents in the 49 markets covered in this report. Collectively the markets have an African-American adult population of more than 14 million. More than 100 black newspapers serve the 49 markets.
The report makes it clear that the black press is strong and merits the serious consideration of marketers," says Jordan
Traditional media -- print, broadcast and outdoor -- have used The Media Audit data in sales, marketing and management for more than 30 years. In 1998, the survey started providing data on local media web sites. The surveys now contain more than 400 fields of qualitative information in addition to quantitative measurements of local web audiences.
