Kinesix Corporatio Announces Visual XSL/XSL-FO Stylesheet Development Product

KX Views is a visual XSL/XSL-FO code generation tool for creating HTML and PDF documents from XML based data.

Houston, TX, March 14, 2004 --- Kinesix Corporation today announced its new product, KX Views, a software design tool for visually generating XSLT stylesheets consisting of XSL and XSL-FO rules. KX Views is the product of a technology merger between Kinesix Corporation and Xtensible Technologies.

Previously released under the name, Visual XSL Studio, Kinesix has taken the product line and significantly improved upon it. Leveraging the expertise of Xtensible Technologies regarding XML development tools", Kinesix has been able create a truly revolutionary tool for the manipulation of XML based data. KX Views is still the only design software that is targeted at both the programmer and the XSL novice. The true WYSIWYG interface allows anyone to quickly create and deploy XSL stylesheets for rendering XML data without writing any code at all. Alternatively, an experienced XSL programmer can also work directly with the underlying code, allowing complete flexibility. With this announcement, Xtensible Technologies, Inc. and Kinesix Corporation enters the marketplace as the first software company to focus entirely on visually designing XSL stylesheets for displaying XML data on various devices.

What Makes KX Views Unique?

KX Views has been uniquely developed to specifically address the problems of building the presentation layer for XML based data. KX Views provides a WYSIWYG drag-and-drop editor for visually laying out the presentation of the data for any XML document. No XSL or CSS coding expertise is required! KX Views is a fully functional editor for designing the XSL presentation layer. Available to the designer are a wide selection of pre-built objects such as label, text box, image, lines, rectangles, tables, etc. Various built-in Wizards are available to help with the visual layout as well as the XML data connectivity.

The partnership with Xtensible Technologies has enabled Kinesix to leverage its visual development expertise in developing a solution for the display of XML based data. We see this as a natural extension to our core business which is focused on development tools for real-time data display," said Russ Jamerson, President and CEO, Kinesix Corporation. KX Views gives us the opportunity to expand our solutions to the enterprise desktop and to continue to focus on our primary mission: transforming data into information."
