FinePrint Softwares Newest Release of pdfFactory Changes the Way PC Users Print and Share Documents
The newest version of FinePrints PDF writing software is an excellent default print driver with print preview and options for creating PDFs or sending directly to a printer
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (MobilityNewswire/PRWEB ) March 15, 2004 --FinePrint Software today announces the release of the newest versions of both pdfFactory and pdfFactory Pro, easy-to-use and inexpensive alternatives to Adobe Acrobat for creating Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files. The new versions include a first-of-its-kind feature among PDF creation software products: a print button that enables pdfFactory to be used as the default print driver, giving users the ability to preview print jobs, combine multiple print jobs, delete unwanted pages and send a document to the printer, create a PDF for electronic distribution, or both.
Unlike all other PDF writers currently on the market, users of pdfFactory will not have to submit a document to the regular print driver and then change the driver to a PDF driver in order to produce both printed and electronic copies. Users can simply set pdfFactory as their default print driver and every time they submit a print job they will be presented with a preview screen and pdfFactorys wide array of options for submitting the job to the printer and creating PDFs.
pdfFactory Pro, the enterprise-class version that includes enhanced document security options, has been upgraded to include the same new features as the base version.
The newest version of pdfFactory and pdfFactory Pro gives those who want PDF-writing capabilities even less reason to spend several hundred dollars more for Adobe Acrobat," said Jonathan Weiner, president of FinePrint Software. Electronic documents are becoming totally integrated into the workflow of organizations, and it is becoming even more of a common practice for people to just send a PDF rather than printing the document and having it delivered. We are delighted to offer the very first PDF driver that works excellently as a default print driver for making it easy to produce both PDFs and printed documents."
The companys flagship product, FinePrint, has also been upgraded to include a pdfFactory button. FinePrint is a Windows printing tool used by individuals and corporations around the world to increase printing effectiveness and efficiency by printing multiple pages to a single sheet of paper, plus a host of other printing options aimed at reducing paper waste. With the addition of the pdfFactory button, those who have also installed pdfFactory on their PCs will be able to easily create PDFs from documents submitted through the FinePrint print driver.
Trial versions of pdfFactory and pdfFactory Pro are available for download at the FinePrint web site, www.fineprint.com. pdfFactory is available for $49.95 while pdfFactory Pro is priced at $99.95. FinePrint can be purchased for $49.95. Quantity discounts are available.
