This music production team is making some serious waves in the music industry, with honed skills in various genres. Soul, R&B, Pop, Gospel, Rock, House and Techno. They are being courted by several different record labels for a spot on their team.

(PRWEB) March 15, 2004 --We are DTW Entertainment and we intend to change the music industry one song at a time. This Detroit Music Award nominated production team accumulatively has over 75 years music experience and the road has led them through Soul, Jazz, Pop, Rock and House. The intent is to be the next Holland Dozier Holland, Norman Whitfield or Jam and Lewis. DTW consists of Selesia "Tomboy" Hinton, Darrell Garrett and Kent Agee I. We've come together after years of being in various bands only to collectively decide to move behind the scenes and write for, produce and guide other musicians and vocalists.

Selesia Hinton by the age of 5 had her first paying gig playing the drums for guests at Detroit's Main Library. She moved forward to become a sought after multi-instrumentalist by mastering the drums, bass, piano, synthesizers and saxophone. Selesia grew up amongst a musical family which included, her father a blues guitarists, her mother a pianists, a brother whom was a touring bassists and a sister whom played with the DSO as a violinists. She has gone on to write radio station jingles and songs for various Detroit artists. Selesia recently won two 2003 Detroit Music Awards for Best Instrumentalists and Best Songwriter in the Gospel/Christian category. These were awarded after writing and producing for Christian artist Patricia Simpson, sister-in-law of Donnie Simpson.

Darrell Garrett was first introduced to the love of music by first playing the saxophone in the school band and moving on to the trumpet. By the time he'd reached high school, he picked up the guitar after being amazed by the instrumentation of Ernie Isley, Prince, Jesse Johnson, and Eddie Van Halen just to name a few. After years of being in bands with musicians such as DJ Carl Craig, percussionists Andrew Daniels, saxophonist Edgar Wallace Jr., Greg Charley and John Winston of Kiara, he decided that the performing bug was gone. Darrell comes from a musical family, which includes Freda and Scherrie Payne, Edgar Wallace Jr., "Fats" Waller and Bernard McGee former bassist for artists such as The Spinners, David Ruffin and Miles Davis.

Kent Agee was introduced to music at an early age also. For years he worked with various vocal groups including, Blacksmith, Breeze and Sole' creating tight harmonies and melodies soothing to the ears. He was strongly influenced by the music of the 80's. Everyone from, Midnight Oil to Prince and Scritti Pollitti to Frankie Beverly and Maze. Kent became known for both his writing ability and strong falsetto. He went on to teach himself to play the keyboards to aid in his craft. Before long he was the sole keyboardists for a local band that went on to entertain at colleges, clubs and festivals. After losing its appeal, Kent decided to leave the stage.
