FREEDOM, CA (PRWEB) March 18, 2004 -- Freedom 21 Santa Cruz (http://www.freedom21santacruz.net/) has released the latest issue of "Advance Bulletin", featuring powerful news and commentary on a spectrum between Liberty and Tyranny. The current issue is available free to the general public at http://www.advancebulletin.net/ and features the following original stories:

DRAFT HOUSING ELEMENT HERDS RESIDENTS INTO DENSE COMMUNITIES

Santa Cruz County officials claim that the Housing Element is necessary to solve a housing shortage problem, but once it is approved and goes into effect, residents will not have many of the common amenities now available. By Colleen Shaw's analysis, the only housing choice available to most families will be dense multi-family units with limited parking.

THE HOUSING ELEMENT: FALSE PROMISES?

The people of Santa Cruz County truly believed in 1978 that by allowing the government to limit growth in the County, they would be able to preserve the small town character of the county that they loved. But, by giving the County unlimited control over the free market and building permits, they have created the opposite situation.

A GENERATION OF MANIPULATION AND BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION

Since its founding in 1972, the Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission never intended to meet the transportation needs of residents. Rather, it has sought to shape their travel habits and manipulate their lives through behavior modification programs, the diversion of funds into fiscally irresponsible and largely unwanted alternative projects, and the intentional negligence of much-needed highway improvements.

SPECIAL BONUS FEATURES:

- Hear "Old Mac Donald's Bio-Reserve", the hilariously poignant single by Barbecue Bob and the Purple Mountain Boys

- See "THE PHILOSOPHY OF LIBERTY", a multi-media presentation from Ken Schoolland about a society where people respect each other's property, liberty and lives. The legal, social and moral principles that guide a society based on individual liberty are simple indeed!
