Kettering, OH (PRWEB) March 18, 2004 -- Jim Crotty, a Kettering-based nature and landscape photographer, recently had two of his nature images published in the spring/summer 2004 issue of Ohio State Parks -- a biannual magazine produced and distributed by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and Recreation.
Crottys close-up photograph of Fleabane wildflowers, taken last spring in John Bryan State Park, appears on the cover of Ohio State Parks. Inside the publication, another Crotty photograph accompanies a story concerning natural ferns of Ohio. This image, of a fern-covered forest floor, was taken last summer in Conkles Hollow State Nature Preserve.
Ohio State Parks is available free of charge. Those interested in receiving this publication can be added to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources mailing list by writing to ONDR Division of Parks and Recreation, Magazine Mailing List, 1952 Belcher Dr., Bldg. Ohio State Parks is also available at the visitors centers of all the state park locations in Ohio.
Jim Crotty is a full-time, professional photographer. Through his business, Picturesque Ohio, Crotty creates and sells fine art prints of his own original images, most of which are nature and landscape scenes from local and state park and recreational areas found throughout Southern Ohio. He also maintains a stock library of photographic images of various national parks and monuments located in the Western United States. In addition to print sales, Crotty sells limited use, non-exclusive rights for use of his photographs in books, magazines and periodicals. A third area of his business is that of freelance/assignment photography services for individuals and organizations in need of professional photographs of facilities, products, processes, such as what may be used within company publications, websites and marketing materials.
Crotty manages Picturesque Ohio from a studio/office location at 15 West Dorothy Lane in Kettering, Ohio. Framed and signed prints of his scenic and nature photographs are also available for sale at Deck the Walls, located at 4005 Far Hills Avenue, also in Kettering.
