The business community is buzzing about the upcoming “union” of Minority Business News USA magazine and MBe-Coach©, a unique business development tool using e-learning, virtual and multimedia technologies. Don McKneely, president of TexCorp Communications in Dallas, and Joan Carroll-Flowers, president of MYCA Group & Associates in Cincinnati, today announced the creation of a joint venture called Business News Connection. The two minority-owned enterprises will launch a new website portal that unites an online weekly version of the Minority Business News USA magazine with MBe-Coach©, a business development tool that hones the skills of diverse suppliers and then promotes these businesses to the end users in corporate purchasing programs. The goal is to increase the pool of qualified minority and women suppliers to participate in corporate and government procurement opportunities.

The portal (http://www.biznewsconnect.com) will contain a host of features and benefits ranging from business development training to procurement opportunities to a virtual showcase of minority and women entrepreneurs around the country who are helping to build their communities.

Entrepreneurs can take advantage of convenient online self-study courses delivered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and interact with professional business coaches. Corporate users not only have access to an exclusive section that features best practices and strategies from experts with years of supplier diversity program experience, they can also post procurement opportunities and search a virtual directory that promotes diverse suppliers.

In addition to an online version of the award-winning Minority Business News USA magazine, the Business News Connection portal will also feature online diversity training, access to a series of interactive workshops delivered as teleclasses, procurement opportunities, profiles of successful entrepreneurs, teleclass workshops, and much more.
