MOORESTOWN, NJ (PRWEB) March 19, 2004
Chris Miles, founder and president of Miles Technologies - a leading provider of highly customized integration, networking and Internet services for a wide range of businesses throughout the Delaware Valley and New York Metropolitan area - has been recognized by NJ Biz Magazine as one of the publication's honored 40 Under 40 leading business professionals in the State of New Jersey.
In 1997 at the age of 26, Chris Miles transitioned out of his established contracting business - which had a large client base, but due to a then very young Miles zest to be successful and eagerness to reinvest all funds into the company, ended up on the wrong side of the balance sheets in late 1996.
While transitioning out of that business, Miles - a computer enthusiast and entrepreneur since age 12 - turned his attentions to computer networking, custom software integration and Internet services for small- to mid-sized businesses.
With no outside capital, Chris Miles founded Miles Technologies. Capitalizing on the business vision and computer expertise of Chris Miles, Miles Technologies grew from a $50,000 business in its first year to a $3 million operation as of 2003.
Today, Miles Technologies services the information technology and computer integration and networking needs of more than 450 clients and employs 35 professionals. Miles Technologies owns the building that houses its corporate headquarters - a 28,000-square-foot facility in Moorestown, New Jersey, purchased for $1.8 million in late 2003.
Miles Technologies has been recognized three times by the Philadelphia Business Journal as one of the 100 Fastest Growing Private Businesses in the Delaware Valley, and three times by the same publication for Top 25 Fastest Growing Private Businesses in South Jersey earning the Number One position in the ranking for the year 2000
Relocating from its previous Marlton offices, the 32-employee Miles Technologies now occupies 6,500-square-feet of the property, with plans to extend the company out into more than 3,000 additional square feet during 2004. Miles Technologies new home, known by area residents and Route 38 motorists as the Cornerstone Bank building, continues to house Cornerstone Bank, as well as a variety of other businesses.
