ARK Digital Systems Announces Digital Coaching System Donation at WBCA.

ITZ and ATZ Digital Video Coaching System from ARK Digital Systems to be included in auction at the 2004 Womens Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) National Convention.

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) March 22, 2004 -- ARK Digital Systems today announced that its ITZ and ATZ Digital Video Coaching Suite valued at $29,999 will be included in the WBCA Silent Auction held at the Womens Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) National Convention in New Orleans April 3-4 to benefit the Betty F. Jaynes Internship program. The ARK Digital Systems ITZ Basketball Suite is a digital video coaching solution to analyze and edit game, scouting and practice video for coaches, assistants, players and staff of amateur and professional sports organizations.

ARK Digital Systems representatives will demonstrate these solutions to attendees at the 2004 Womens Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) National Convention in New Orleans on April 3-4 at booth #407.

"Basketball coaches today need a way to efficiently capture, store, edit, and transfer large quantities of game film at home and while on the road. Until now, huge file sizes and expensive hardware had restricted access to these advantages to only the elite programs with huge budgets", said Don Powers, ARK Digital Systems Director of Sales and Marketing. "At ARK, we build Sport Specific Video Coaching Systems, and thats all we do. So, it was important for us to deliver a cost effective coaching system that took advantage of developments in storage, networking and video compression. We knew there was a better way. So, the engineers at ARK worked with our partners at ADS Technologies and Cirrus Logic to develop a DVD quality coaching system at a fraction of the cost of others on the market."

According to Powers, ARK customers will be able to store as many as 25-30 games on a laptop using the technology they developed from ADS Technologies. This new configuration coupled with the ARK ITZ Basketball Suite gives coaches the ability to edit and produce DVD quality cut-ups and DVD's of game, practice, and scouting tapes at breakthrough prices.

"I would like to thank Coach Bobby Knight and Coach Bubba Jennings of Texas Tech University. Their assistance enabled us to streamline the workflow to get cut-ups finished as efficiently as possible. One thing we realized is that there are systems with a lot of the bells and whistles out there, but in the end someone has to take the time to do all that work. We concentrated on the areas where coaches spend the most time and worked to improve on that. As a result, coaching staffs now have access to a DVD quality networked video coaching system from ARK at nearly half the price of other systems on the market. And its just the beginning of what we have coming down the pipe for 04," said Powers. "We are pleased to be able to contribute a full version of our ARK ITZ Basketball Suite to benefit the Betty F. Jaynes Internship program. I hope it brings an opportunity to athletes striving to be their best. We at ARK are committed to helping womens athletics, and providing the best sport specific coaching solutions in the game. Please bid high and support this worthy cause!"

"ARK understands the needs of our coaches and cares about the advancement of women's basketball programs at all levels," said Womens Basketball Coaches Association CEO Beth Bass. "The generous contribution to our WBCA Silent Auction is a credit to companies like ARK who have made the commitment to promoting the education and growth of our sport."
