Career Fair to be held for People with Disabilities
The career fair is a unique opportunity for companies to join together to create employment opportunities for those with disabilities and for people with disabilities the opportunity to use their talents.
(PRWEB) March 22, 2004 --Recent statistics show the untapped workforce of people with disabilities is over 877,000 within the Dallas Metroplex alone. 67% of those are ready, willing and able to work. In 1990, DuPont conducted a survey of employees with disabilities and found 90% rated average or better in job performance compared to 95% for employees without disabilities.
President George Bush announced the New Freedom Initiative for people with disabilities in February, 2001. It is a bold plan to tear down the remaining barriers to full integration into American life that many of this nations 54 million citizens with disabilities still face.
