Neuro-Pathways Systems Hemispheric Synchronization Tested
Theory holds, that when the two hemispheres of the brain function in unison and in synchrony a variety of beneficial effects, both physical and psychological, can and do take place.
DELRAY BEACH, FL (PRWEB) March 22, 2004 --The first acknowledged awareness of hemispheric synchronization in the brainappeared in studies of advanced mediators well over forty years ago. However, control of the synchrony was beyond that of the mediators... yet, most tended to achieve synchrony within a certain uncontrollable frequency range - low alpha to theta.
Theory holds, that when the two hemispheres of the brain function in unison and in synchrony a variety of beneficial effects, both physical and psychological, can and do take place.
Undoubtedly the reason that, over the past several decades, a host of researchers, clinicians, and entrepreneurs have attempted to develop ways to induce whole-brain synchrony.
Meditation takes a great deal of time to accomplish, and there is no guarantee that it will work, and because the meditation effect" has appeared to be limited to a specific frequency range, more and more people are trying to combine new and old technologies to attain hemispheric synchrony.
After experimenting with a wide variety of technologies, ranging from visual to audio to Tran cranial electrical stimulation, our focus settled on a simple, familiar and exceptionally functional mechanism" which did, in fact, induce whole-brain synchrony and, by so doing, presented a viable method capable of inducing behavioral modification.
Studies of the Neuro-Pathways Recording System (NPRS)- a unique, multi-layered audio/sound matrix which is coupled with an innovative subliminal "re-write" technology - have provided the initial proof that the theory of hemispheric synchronizations does work. EEG testing has shown that the NPRS system did, in fact, entrain the brains of subjects sufficiently enough to achieve and maintain a full state of hemispheric synchrony within the theta range. And, while meditation subjects move toward the theta stage, they tend to either fall asleep or rapidly move toward higher frequencies while the NPRS matrix appeared to successfully overcome such tendencies.
No matter how impressive, a research and/or clinical tool may prove to be, it has limited value unless it can be integrated and/or combined with other tools and techniques. And so, to test this issue, investigators selected one of the oldest Western approaches to psycho physiological reconditioning, Autogenic Training (AT), considered to one of the most effective relaxation techniques ever developed, with both sound and well-established theoretical backing.
Literally hundreds of published studies have investigated the effectiveness of this technique in treating a variety of psychosomatic and stress-related disorders. Studies of the effects of AT on cortical activity have shown that after prolonged practice (generally not more than six months) there is a tendency toward hemispheric synchronization, similar to that seen in experienced mediators.
For clinical purposes, at Neuro Acoustic Research (NARC), initial studies looked at the combined effects of AT and NPRS by adding binaural beats, at the theta level, to the matrix of the soundscapes being utilized. Several clients were asked to listen to these CDs for several weeks and then undergo EEG testing. And, though the findings are anecdotal, in 3 out of the 4 instances, the subjects' EEG activities had moved from asynchrony to full synchrony. One subject's EEG showed synchrony in alpha, whiles the two others showed synchrony in theta.
The phenomenon of hemispheric synchronization has not only gained the attention of researchers and clinicians -- but a large and growing interest in the general public - for some time. Of the various technologies and procedures, which purport to induce bilateral synchrony, the Neuro-Pathways Recovery System appears to be one of the most effective, as well as being one of the safest, in accomplishing what it claims to do. However, as questions get answered, more will be brought forward. Without doubt, only well-designed, continuing research studies will assist us in unveiling the potential that is contained wihin the Neuro-Pathways Recovery System.
